Sinnamalai Waterfall Trekking Adventures facility is meant for individuals who love nature and adventures. The founder of this facility are Dr Narayanasamy a/l Sinnaraju and Mrs Shanty @Terra Emily Binti Poilis.The name Sinnamalai comes from Dr Narayanasamy’s father’s name Sinnaraju and mothers name ,Batumalai. Sinna means small and Maalai means hill.Therefore, Sinnamalai means smallhill.
As the name indicates, this facility is situated at Bukit Kokol. It is about 15 minutes journey by car from Menggatal and 30-45 minutes from Kota Kinabalu city. The road is sealed all the way to the Bukit Kokol.The facility is situated about 10-20 minutes walk downhill from Kampung Sinagang Kota Kinabalu Sabah Malaysia. It is located in 15 acres land with a beautiful stream running down at the side of this land .As the stream flows down ,it forms waterfalls at different heights. There are about 10-15 waterfalls. The highest is 30 feet and others are of 20 feet,10 feet and 5 feet. The cold showering waterfalls is one of the main attractions in this facility.
From this facility, simply breathtaking complete view of Kota Kinabalu city is another attraction which should not be missed. The view is even more astonishing during sunset and night. In this facility, jungle trekking can be done with a guide. One can climb to a small cave at the upstream. This cave has a waterfall in it. Visitor or tourists can stay either in a hostel which is located in this facility or make camp of their interest on the open land. At night, the temperature drops to below 20 Celsius, So camp fire is available. One can cook by oneself or order food prepared by management.
Management of this facility can also arrange some adventurous activities such as Jungle Trekking ,Night Safari and picnic at waterfalls
